KING JOSIAH: The Legacy You Leave (Part 3)
Jan 21, 2026 • Matt Buerhaus
The Bible talks so much about things like blood, sacrifice, and covenant—because sin is serious and God is holy. Josiah doesn’t just feel convicted; he responds by gathering everyone, reading God’s Word, and leading the nation to make a covenant to obey the Lord. Then he restores a forgotten practice: the Passover—going back to Exodus, when the blood of a spotless lamb meant judgment “passed over” God’s people. Finally, we connect it to us today: the Passover points forward to Jesus, our true Passover Lamb, whose blood covers our sin and offers salvation by grace through faith.
