Welcome to the Student Ministry!

Thank you for visiting the Underwood Baptist Student Ministry! We want the world to know that our students love Jesus! We want to KNOW HIM, LOVE HIM and SHOW HIM. We strive to KNOW HIM through our daily interaction with His Word and His indwelling Spirit.  We strive to LOVE HIM through our daily example of life-style worship (whether at school, the store or at home). And finally, we strive to SHOW HIM through the daily God-given opportunities to live and speak of everything He has done in our lives.

Our Student Ministry meets regularly at The Hub. The Hub is the metal building located in the back (west side) of the UBC campus. Scroll down to check out information about specific ministries we have available to 7th-12th grade students. If you are in our area, we would love for you to drop by and join us! If you are looking for more information, please don’t hesitate to call me at the church or email me with questions. (No really, call or email me, no really!)

Know Him

“His Word is in my heart like a fire.” Jeremiah 20:9

We want to be intentional in our prayer life and challenge our students to connect with God continually with prayer.

Love Him

Every Wednesday night at 6:30 pm we get together in the Hub for our mid-week Student Worship Service. This is a time when we ask God to refill our spiritual tanks. Hanging out with friends, praising our Creator through amazing, live music, and applying a fresh message from His Word are the three intentional purposes of this service.

On Sundays at UBC, our students spend time in Small Group Bible Study during our 9:45-10:45 am Sunday School hour at The Hub. Students are encouraged to worship with our church family afterwards in our morning worship service at 11:00 am.

Show Him

“For even the Son of Man did not come to be served, but to serve, and to give His life as a ransom for many.” Mark 10:45

Ten45 is a great missions ministry designed to mobilize our youth and get them involved in what God is doing outside the walls of our church.

The Youth Advisory Council meets one Sunday night a month after the evening service in the Fellowship Hall. This is an open invitation committee. Any and all parents of students are invited and welcome to attend. The whole purpose for this monthly meeting is to equip and inform the parents and volunteers of our Student Ministry. We spend time in prayer, training, planning and dreaming. We would love for you, as a parent, to join us.

Please know that we want to help you, and we desperately need your help. We want to partner with you in raising your student. It is TUFF raising a teenager in today’s world. But the Bible clearly empowers you as parents to raise them, teach them, and nurture them…in connection with the local Body of Christ (the church).

Please let us know if there is EVER anything we can do to assist you as parents.
